AI4SocialImpact helps mission-driven institutions move from AI enthusiasm to responsible deployment. Multilateral organizations, governments, and NGOs are under pressure to adopt AI quickly; the harder problem is doing it in ways that are safe, equitable, and actually effective in low-resource settings.
The practice brings two decades of technology-for-development experience to that problem, across health, education, and economic development. It pairs strategy with implementation know-how: what to build, what to buy, what to avoid, and how to measure whether a system is helping the people it is meant to serve.
The through-line with the rest of the portfolio is method – evidence before deployment, the Global South treated as a design priority rather than an afterthought, and durable institutional capacity over one-off pilots.
