WORK WITH ME

Boards and advisory roles

I serve on boards, advisory councils, and working groups where technology, child protection, and organizational strategy meet. I'm open to a small number of additional commitments – fiduciary boards, advisory boards, commissions, and expert panels – where my experience is genuinely useful. In UK and European terms, that includes non-executive director roles.

What I bring to a board

AI and technology oversight

I was a founding member of Save the Children's AI steering committee, co-chair the technology industry working group of a UN initiative, and regularly advise on AI governance. I can help a board ask the right questions before the technology decides for it.

Child safeguarding

I've written and operationalized safeguarding and responsible-AI policies, and have led child-protection technology work at global scale. Many organizations ignore it, but safeguarding oversight is critical, not a checkbox.

Revenue and sustainability

I built an earned-revenue technology unit to roughly $3.5M at FHI 360 and raised $7M+ there and $4M+ at Save the Children from foundations, governments, and corporate funders. I know what it takes to build sustainable nonprofit revenue.

International scale

My current Childhood and AI Lab hosts Fellows in 23 countries, but I've led global strategic initiatives spanning as large as 118 country offices and 29 member organizations while at Save the Children. Global South participation is a design principle in my work, not an afterthought.

What I'm looking for

Mission fit first: children, digital rights, and technology in the social sector. I'm most useful to organizations at a stage where builder experience matters – standing up new programs, governing new technology, or making revenue models real. I take on few enough roles to do each one well, and I'm direct about time commitments before saying yes.
